Valentine’s Week in Louisville ❤️
Feb 8th – Feb 14th
Welcome to The Louisville Plug.
This week is all about date nights, good food, and spots worth planning ahead for, pulled straight from Louisville locals who know what’s up.
🫓 The Local Rec
A Louisville local’s food rec, every week.
This week’s rec comes from:
Mike Tomes @ mike_tomes_social
Mike brings a thoughtful mix of fashion, lifestyle, travel, and local experiences to his Louisville content. From nights out around the city to events all over, restaurants, and everyday moments, his page feels personal and real. If you like discovering Louisville through a wider lifestyle lens, beyond just food, he’s a great follow on Instagram.
Their Rec: MeeshMeesh Mediterranean
Why they love it:
“Not only is it known as one of the best restaurants in Louisville, knowing it’s also one of the most exclusive restaurants to get into, makes eating there feel so much more luxurious and elevated than it should.”
“It’s dim lights, limited amount of tables and top tiered service, makes this a dining experience that feels personable and therefore, makes the vibes feel more authentic and natural with the one you are there with.”
“Not to mention the food is phenomenal.”
The Go-To order:
“Our most recent dish that we’ve gotten there that we were head over heels in love with was their roasted Kousa Squash in a tomato broth with Pom molasses, lstuffed with lentils and rice, pine nuts and crispy shallots. To die for. Perfectly paired with their pomegranate spritzer mocktail.”

The Go-To Order
Thank you Mike for the rec! I am very excited to give MeeshMeesh a try as soon as I can land some reservations.
Be sure to follow mike_tomes_social on Instagram and let him know if you try out MeeshMeesh!
